Meet Our Executive Chef: Ryan Moore
Ryan Moore grew up influenced by the sea through his Portuguese roots and proximity to the Pacific Ocean in San Diego County. Raised in a single-parent home, he was tasked with preparing meals for himself and his family, often experimenting with local ingredients and locally-caught fish. He fell in love with creating new recipes and testing new cooking techniques, and now brings that passion to Bernini's Bistro as executive chef. After graduating from San Diego Mesa College in the Culinary Arts Program in 1999, Moore has worked in a variety of restaurants adding his signature flare to each thriving location. He was honored as Regional Chef of the Year by the American Culinary Tasting Institute in 2001 and has been featured in Forbes Magazine, the San Diego Tribune and San Diego Food Finds. Moore uses his extensive culinary skills to bring fresh ideas and original recipes to the popular La Jolla restaurant.
